Description

Since its creation as the Pacific Environmental Advocacy Center in 1996, our center has helped educate hundreds of legal environmental advocates. We’ve won huge cases and helped shape environmental law over the last 20 years. We changed our name to Earthrise Law Center in 2012 and have grown from just a few attorneys to a staff of 12, including an office in Massachusetts and a soon-to-be opened office in San Francisco. Our cases no longer focus solely on issues in the Pacific Northwest. We've had cases in over a dozen states in the U.S. Our docket includes everything from protecting endangered lynx in Maine to creating better water quality standards in Idaho to protecting old growth forests in Oregon.

To celebrate two decades of amazing work by the Earthrise Law Center and the 400 students who have helped make it what it is, we are throwing a reunion party. And we want you to join us!

Come toast the founders of the organization, reminisce with old friends, bid on great silent auction packages, enjoy good food and drinks and dance to live music by the Cow Paddy Stompers.

We hope to see you at the party! If you can't make it but would like to contribute to the goal of the evening, we will be raising funds to support our Founder's Legacy Fund, which will fund our fellowship program. Please donate here!

Tickets are $20 if purchased by noon on September 15th. Otherwise they will be available at the door for $30.

"The Birds," a painting by Kazaan Viveiros

The Birds

In honor of the work that Earthrise has done protecting California Condors, we are auctioning off a beautiful triptych painting by Kazaan Viveiros--that includes several threatened birds, as well as the magnificent condor--so that we can continue to work to protect these endangered species. Kazaan has exhibited her work in solo and group exhibitions throughout the U.S. and in Europe. Viveiros’s paintings have been collected by a wide array of corporations, including eBay and Capital One Bank, as well as by individuals such as author Danielle Steel. Learn more about Kazaan and her work here.
